bust magazine

here's an illustration i did for bust magazine in america. the article was about fake abortion clinics in the U.S called crisis pregnancy centers. they use misleading advertising to make themselves appear to be medical clinics that offer abortions, when infact their main goal is to try and prevent women from having abortions; they do this by giving them false information and showing very graphic imagery. they’ve even been known to falsely report to women that they’re not pregnant to try and delay their

decision. pretty horrible stuff.

  2. A friend of mine is volunteering for a crisis pregnancy center in her small town. She asked me to do some design work for them & I just couldn't since I do not agree w/their tactics. I'm all for adoptions, but the things you mentioned above are scary! Great illustration work.

  4. What's really interesting about this illustration is that when the "C" is backwards like that, it looks like a "J"... and in Norwegian, "Jenter" means "girls". Great illustration!

  5. I'm not sure where the fake center was that you wrote about, but the vast majority of crisis pregnancy centers are set up to help women in a crisis situation and give women another option. If you think pictures of an abortion are graphic, that's because it's a very graphic procedure that is designed to kill a fetus prematurely. Most women that have had abortions feel pretty horrible about it, and it's nice to know that they have places to go where they have other options that they might not have considered.
